Job Title: Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer - Lake Mary, FL

Job Description

We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn and ready to hit the ground running! The role of the Procedures Mechanical Engineer Level I is pivotal in creating and ensuring the quality of the procedures for Power Generation Simple Cycle (SC),

Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT), and Combined Heat and Power Projects (CCHP) in Multi Shaft and Single Shaft configurations. This position requires coordinating, creating, and reviewing Construction and Commissioning procedures while ensuring quality documentation is submitted. Capturing, tracking, and implementing procedure improvements are also key responsibilities.

 Responsibilities

Will receive training on how to develop mechanical and electrical procedures and documentation required for job sites. The majority of time will be spent working on a computer, locating and interpreting technical drawings such as P&IDs, general arrangements, and layout diagrams. Learn how to extract accurate measurement data from these drawings to incorporate into procedures. Will be trained in Primavera P6Evaluate and apply methods and techniques to develop mechanical installation and commissioning procedures.Implement standard engineering criteria and use independent judgment with moderate supervision.Review mechanical engineering designs, including P&I diagrams, general arrangements, isometrics, foundation drawings, structural drawings, and design philosophies.Ensure mechanical system designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards.Coordinate support to field engineers and clarify procedures for equipment supplied by the client.Interpret and apply codes and standards and customer design requirements to prepare mechanical erection and commissioning procedures.Conduct extensive document and design verification to deliver a complete set of mechanical procedures deliverables.Plan and create Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.Manage the internal Corrective Action, Preventive Action (CAPA) system for team processes.

Skills

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Technical diploma in a related field.Proficiency in mechanical engineering design and project management.Experience with AutoCAD and Primavera.Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical tools.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and regulations.Capability to write reports and procedure manuals.

Additional Skills

Experience with Project Schedule P6 or similar software is beneficial.Knowledge of ISO procedures and OSHA safety requirements is an asset.Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Japanese is highly desirable.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Work Environment

The work is based in Lake Mary, FL. This office is multidisciplinary, involving mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, controls, and project management functions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
