Mechanical Engineer
**Position Summary** : Ensure production equipment and processes are correctly designed and set-up to reach all cost, time and quality related requirements while supporting our production, quality, EH&S & Operations teams in the design, operation, control and optimization of processes. **Essential Job Duties:** + Mechanical technical guidance for operations to support development of new products. + Mechanical technical guidance for operations to optimize manufacturing processes reflecting lower costs and improve internal knowledge of manufacturing personnel. + Technical support of our customer base as well as sales and marketing efforts. + Propose and participate in the design and commissioning of machinery improvements and capital equipment projects. + Collect and analyze production data to propose and implement improvement actions with existing products. + Maintain and support Quality, EH&S, and Operation requirements. + Continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Sustainable Development). + Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and business processes. + Ensure that the installed production technology is meeting all relevant internal and external EH&S standards, Operations and SD functions. + Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses. **Qualifications/Requirements** : + Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. + Professional experience in a manufacturing environment. + Experience with welding and brazing of discreet parts is preferred + Solid process engineering background with experience in metal working processes, such as rolling, slitting, melting, casting, power press forming and tooling operations is an advantage + Ability to design, build and debug machine components, fixtures and tooling + Experience with organizing and managing multiple projects. + Collaborate with Manufacturing and provide technical support for everyday challenges. + High level of mechanical aptitude and desire to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment. + Experience problem-solving skills, such as the ability to establish root cause and develop, test and implement solutions. + Ability to perform analytical and metallurgical testing. + Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Access and PowerPoint). + ISO 9001/ISO14001 knowledge preferred. + Auto Cad /
