Job Description
Join our team to design and manufacture visual, audible, and infrared solutions for various applications, ensuring the protection of lives and property across multiple sectors, including industrial, transportation, and public safety. You will work closely under the guidance of a mechanical engineer, gaining valuable insights and contributing to a hands-on design and manufacturing role with growth potential.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop commercial products, including electrical design, from concept to deployment.Execute mechanical design for plastic, metal, and ruggedized assemblies suited for harsh environments.Design tooling and fixtures for R&D and production with a focus on efficient low-volume assembly methods.Engage in hands-on prototyping and manufacturing with a strong knowledge of materials and processes.Create, interpret, and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical drawings, and instructions.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.5 – 10 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing.Proficiency in 3D solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred, other CAD tools acceptable).Expertise in mechanical materials and manufacturing processes such as injection molding, 3D printing, and sheet metal fabrication.Hands-on experience in cross-functional team environments for prototype development and production support.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with electronics, PCB design, and electromechanical systems.Experience in small company or startup environments requiring flexibility and self-direction.Understanding of efficient assembly methods, including wiring and interconnection types.Technical writing skills for engineering documentation.Ability to design tooling and fixtures for testing and manufacturing.Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gilbert, Arizona.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
