Mechanical Engineer
Job Title: Intermediate Mechanical Engineer Job Description As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will work directly under the Engineering Principal and Project Engineer, supporting the delivery of projects through all phases. You will manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring strong internal communication. Responsibilities + Perform mechanical load calculations and equipment sizing. + Prepare mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, plans, and schedules. + Review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance. + Conduct detailed site surveys. + Apply basic knowledge of mechanical and building codes. Essential Skills + Mechanical engineering expertise. + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. + Experience in mechanical load calculation and HVAC design. + 3+ years of professional experience in Mechanical Engineering. + Expert proficiency in Revit for 3-dimensional drafting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BSME required. + EIT certification preferred. + PE certification not required. + 5+ years of professional experience preferred, open to considering 3+. + Willingness to travel is highly preferred, although not frequent. Work Environment This role offers a hybrid work schedule with the entire office working from home on Fridays. The office is located in midtown across from the New York Public Library, fostering a face-to-face collaborative environment with architects and engineers in-house. The team consists of approximately 15-20 members, including 2 architects, 6 engineers, principals, and administrative staff.
