Job Description
We are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with the Engineering Principal and Project Engineer to support project delivery through all phases. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring strong internal communication and adherence to mechanical and building codes.
ResponsibilitiesManage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining strong internal communication.Perform mechanical load calculations and equipment sizing.Prepare mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, plans, and schedules.Review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.Conduct detailed site surveys.Apply basic knowledge of mechanical and building codes.Essential SkillsMechanical engineering expertise with a focus on design/drafting, load calculations, and equipment sizing.Proficiency in AutoCAD and expert proficiency in Revit for 3-dimensional drafting.3+ years of professional experience in HVAC design and mechanical engineering.EIT certification preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.PE certification not required.Willingness to travel is highly preferred as many projects are out of state, although not frequent.Work Environment
Enjoy a hybrid work schedule with the entire office working from home on Fridays. Collaborate face-to-face in an environment with architects and engineers in-house, offering ample opportunities for collaboration. Our office is located in midtown, across from the NY Public Library, fostering a vibrant and convenient work atmosphere. The team consists of 2 architects, 6 engineers, principals, and admin staff, totaling about 15-20 members.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $37.00 - $44.00/hr.
