Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for product development testing, product validation testing, and assisting in research and engineering projects. This work includes but is not limited to, design, testing, development, and verification of processes or products in the lab environment, development of new equipment and/or testing protocols to support testing, in addition to assistance with R&D projects and product and process development. This position will also be required to train other personnel in the above areas as required.

•\tEngineering: Conduct R&D and engineering projects under guidelines as required. •\tDevelopment: Independently develop validation protocols using guidelines. Conduct product development and validation testing. Prepare and/or develop test equipment and procedures for validation and development testing and incorporate into the company quality system documents for release, provide or assist with training in this area. Work with customers in joint development efforts.•\tReporting and Training: Develop concise written reports for project updates and final reports on completed projects. Provide training and guidance to lab and plant personnel in areas of technical expertise.•\tCollaboration: The Mechanical Engineer must be able to work cooperatively with maintenance, production, other R&D personnel, the quality department, sales personnel, and lab staff.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
