Qualis, LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Advanced Technology Group at our Huntsville, AL office. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing space-related mechanical systems for radios, antennas, and power equipment. This is a position that requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and experience with design engineering, manufacturing engineering, or test engineering. You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, and researchers to design and optimize mechanical prototypes/systems for a wide range of applications in a rapid-prototype environment.

Essential Duties:

Designs mechanical parts and assemblies, including 3D CAD modelingPerforms engineering analyses, such as weight and center of mass, structural, transportability, or thermalUnderstands mechanically based requirements and verificationCommunicates with suppliers and customers to exchange technical informationCollaborates with other functional areas on various aspects of product design/documentationCreates and delivers engineering briefings or reports to support design reviews and activitiesDevelops and participates in briefing materials for milestone stakeholders.
