Mechanical Engineer

Nalco Water is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our equipment manufacturing plant located in Green Tree, PA. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting all commercialized equipment product lines produced at the Green Tree, PA facility. This will include technical support and troubleshooting and acting as a liaison between Production and Design Engineering / R&D. This also will include making updates to Bills of Material and drawings for commercialized products. Any complex changes (affecting form, fit, function) will go through the corporate Engineering Change Management process.

What You Will Do:

Support fabrication and testing of all equipment to ensure compliance with the Corporate Engineering specifications.

Point-of-contact for production associates on any equipment specification issues; communicate with Corporate Engineering as needed; ensure document changes are communicated and implemented.

Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, such as internal specifications, work instructions, and job-aids.

Troubleshoot quality issues during fabrication and quality testing; document failures and perform root-cause analysis.

Create and manage projects to improve the manufacturability of standard products, safety, efficiency, and/or quality.

Work closely with the Innovation Engineers on New Product Introduction related to manufacturing; assist with prototype builds and provide feedback to Design team; coordinate plant activities to prepare for production release.

Assist in capital project design and execution.

 

Position Details:

Location: Green Tree near Pittsburg, PA

Working Environment: Ability to work in a fabrication environment near dust, fumes, odors, noise, etc.,

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or relevant field of study

3 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role, within a production environment

Experience with AutoCAD

 

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year of experience in industrial equipment design

1 year of experience in product development

Prior experience working with equipment certification (e.g., UL, CE, and NSF)

SAP experience

TPM / Lean Manufacturing experience

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Prior experience with Microsoft Office applications

Previous ERP/MRP experience (e.g., familiar working with Bills of Material within an ERP environment)

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $83,600.00 - $125,400.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
