About the Role

Woodside Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Planning Team supporting the Karratha Gas Plant (KGP) LNG and Shoreline (SL) operations. Based in Perth, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to campaign readiness and asset risk management within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. The role includes regular travel to site approximately every 4–8 weeks.

This is a valuable opportunity for a technically skilled engineer to gain further exposure in planning, production engineering, and maintenance execution support.

Key Responsibilities

Apply engineering judgement to select and scope mechanical work for inclusion in maintenance campaigns.

Provide technical support and engineering deliverables for planned maintenance, including:

Management of Change (MOC)

Short Term Campaign (STC) work packs

Support CAPEX project execution and Process Safety Risk Assessment (PSRA) remediation.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance strategies in line with evolving Asset Reference Plans (ARP).

Respond to engineering queries for recurring and corrective work orders.

Screen maintenance notifications (as delegated) in accordance with W1000SG9678976.

Manage Safety and Environmental Critical Elements in alignment with WM1040PF9809289 standards.

Assist with incident investigations as per company procedures (WM0000PG9905421).

Review feedback from execution teams and identify improvement opportunities.

Provide coverage and support to frontline mechanical engineering and site execution teams as required.

Qualifications & Skills Required

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Demonstrated “ENG” competency per WM0000PG10109352.

PSM knowledge level competency attained or achievable (per WM0000PG10588246).

Solid understanding of MOC processes, risk management, and safety-critical systems.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Additional Details

Work Arrangement: Flexible working options available

Travel Requirements: Approx. every 4–8 weeks (2–3 days per trip; subject to project needs)

Project Objective: Provide technical support to the Planning Team to ensure maintenance campaign readiness and executability
