Mechanical Designer

Summary: Seeking a Mechanical Designer with expertise in 3D CAD design, structural steel, and pressure vessel design for project coordination and development.

5-7+ years of 3D CAD design experience in structural, mechanical, or industrial engineering

Proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD

Background in structural steel, tanks, or pressure vessel design

Familiarity with ASME, AWS, AWWA, ACI, ASCE, and AISC codes and standards

Experience integrating 3D CAD models for project coordination

Exposure to fabrication shop workflows and field erection practices

Preferred Skills:

Proficiency with nesting software (e.g., ProNest)

Responsibilities:

Create and manage 3D CAD models for structural steel and mechanical systems

Produce fabrication, erection, and assembly drawings from specifications

Translate engineering calculations into accurate models and shop drawings

Verify accuracy with project specifications and industry codes

Collaborate to resolve design challenges with cross-functional teams

Develop drafting standards and best practices

Mentor junior designers and drafters

Participate in design reviews and process improvements



Pay Details: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour
