The Mechanical Designer- under the leadership of the Manager of Manufacturing, will support the process to provide business essential, cost effective, product design support. The Product Engineer 1) Be responsible for the design and documentation of products during the design and development phases 2) Own design and development activities, 3) Drive cross functional involvement in strict adherence to the development process 4) Partner in the identification of new suppliers and drive supplier development process. 5). Support procurement in management of existing supply base 6) Understand current automotive accessory trends.

•\tProduce engineering designs and drawings in accordance with the applicable drawing and quality standards.
•\tMaintain proficiency with drawing standards and tolerancing.
•\tMaintain proficiency with document and configuration control methods and standards.
•\tMaintain adherence to accessory product expectations for accessory product categories as assigned.
•\tMaintain vehicle applicability, conflicts, and requirements for accessories.
•\tFacilitate accessory supplier readiness for manufacturing of accessories.
•\tFacilitate accessory manufacturing process readiness for installation of accessories, including installation training (for trainers).
•\tParticipate in model year carry-over validation activities.
•\tSupport accessory product quality problem solving efforts, including supplier corrective action.
•\tParticipate in Field Quality Plan development for newly launched accessories.
•\tParticipate in review of warranty and other indicators of field performance and customer satisfaction.
•\tParticipate in the continual improvement of accessory development and launch processes.
•\tParticipate in determining the direction of the accessory portfolio and help optimize accessory product category
•\tResponsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.
•\tReview and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.
•\tOther duties may be assigned.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
