Location: Downtown Lexington, KY (Hybrid Schedule)

About the Role

We’re hiring a Mechanical Designer to support pipeline design and construction projects across the energy sector—including CO₂ systems, production wells, and fracking wells. You’ll work directly with project managers and engineers to transform design concepts into detailed, constructible drawing packages. This role offers a mix of technical challenge, collaboration, and flexibility in a consulting environment.

ResponsibilitiesInterpret piping and instrumentation diagrams, specifications, and equipment requirementsDesign mechanical equipment and piping systems using CAD 3D modeling toolsReview vendor equipment drawings and provide feedbackCollect field data via 3D scanning or manual measurementsGenerate as-built 3D models from point cloud dataProduce drawing packages including site plans, piping layouts, isometrics, and support detailsEnsure compliance with codes, client standards, and industry best practicesCollaborate with engineers and other disciplines throughout the design processQualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field1+ years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorks, Inventor, CadWorx, or Plant3DProficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modelingExperience in piping design and mechanical draftingWillingness to learn new design software and contribute to civil design workComfortable conducting occasional site visits (1–3 trips per year)What You’ll EnjoyA hybrid work schedule with flexibility and autonomyA casual, collaborative team cultureExposure to diverse and impactful energy projectsOpportunities to expand your technical skill set
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.
