We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to create detailed 3D mechanical designs and drawings using CAD software, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The role involves modifying fabrication and assembly drawings for metal parts and welded assemblies, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure accurate and efficient production, and revising designs based on feedback and technical requirements.
ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed 3D mechanical designs and drawings using CAD software.Modify fabrication and assembly drawings for metal parts and welded assemblies.Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure accurate and efficient production.Revise designs based on feedback and technical requirements.Interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and customer requirements.Essential SkillsProficiency in CAD software, with SolidWorks highly preferred.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, especially welding, machining, and fabrication.5+ years of experience in mechanical design or drafting, preferably in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes a small engineering team located in Mooresville specializing in gas turbine component-level repairs. The team focuses on turbine services, repairing and refurbishing turbine equipment.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
