Mechanical Design R&D Manager- WATER Meter
**Sr Mechanical Design Engineer – Water Meter** **Location:- Luton UK** You will report directly to our **Director of Engineering** and you’ll work out of our **Luton, UK** location on a **Hybrid** work schedule. In this role, you will impact the development and delivery of smart water meter products that contribute to efficient water management and sustainability. This includes the all steps from architecture, design, implementation, validation, manufacturing and release of the components and products. + Give technical guidance and leadership to the global resources and activities for mechanical design in Water Metering products. + Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and knowledge. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources. + Drive and lead innovation projects to create new functionalities, better cost position, higher performance, more efficient design tools and best architectural concepts for future water meters exceeding the expectations of our customers. **Must Have Skills** + 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and development. + Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies especially in molding and casting parts for high volume and cost sensitive applications. + Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools. + Very good understanding of fluid mechanics and its simulation and impact to the design + Experience with product testing, validation and reliability testing. + Excellent leadership and team management skills. + Ability to drive results and meet project deadlines. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills **We Value** + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.A master’s degree is a plus. + Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. + Innovative mindset and a passion for technology. + Proven track record of achieving program targets including schedule, quality and cost + Experience in working with utilities and in the metering industry and understanding their specific requirements + Knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements in water metering **Our offer** + Competitive salary and performance-based incentives. + Benefits – Medical, Vision, Dental, Mental Health + Paid Vacation + Retirement Benefits (as per regional policy) + Career Growth + Professional Development + Opportunities for professional development and career advancement. + A dynamic and inclusive work environment that fosters innovation and growth. + A culture that fosters inclusion, diversity, and innovation in an international work environment + Market specific training and ongoing personal development. + Experienced leaders to support your professional development We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
