**Description:**
You will be the Line of Business \(LOB\) Mechanical Engineering Senior Manager for the Precision Fires \(PF\) LOB\. Our team is responsible for managing Mechanical Design teams and scope across various programs, including HIMARS, M270, CFCS, GMLRS, and PrSM Increment 1 & 2\.
**What You Will Be Doing**
As the LOB Mechanical Engineering Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Mechanical Design team and coordinating with Program Area CEs, Senior Leadership, and other stakeholders\. You will oversee LOB performance management, implement process improvements, and drive technical excellence\.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Managing and developing a team of mechanical engineers
•Coordinating mechanical inputs across programs for proposal support
•Providing technical coaching, mentoring, and feedback to team members
•Supporting department initiatives and directorate undertakings
•Driving program execution and technical excellence

**Basic Qualifications:**
Basic Qualifications:
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• IPT Leadership, Program Management or Chief Engineering Experience
• Previous E&T Manager Experience
• Experience working fast pace development programs
• Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Process Improvement and Affordability experience
• Self\-Starter Personality; Ability to multitask
• Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking
• Ability to collaborate with multi\-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs
• Experience with Proposals, either BOE preparation or managing

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Part\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
