Our client, a leading custom trailer manufacturer supporting major sports brands — including racing, golf, and professional team sports — is seeking a Design Engineer to join their team. As a Design Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting Sales, Production, and Purchasing teams. The ideal candidate will bring problem-solving skills, collaborative communication, and technical design expertise to help deliver highly customized builds, professional branding, and diverse projects in a strong, team-driven culture.
Job Title: Design Engineer
Location: Cresco, IA
Pay Range: Competitive, based on experience & great relocation
Use AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D to create custom and standard trailer designs
Develop detailed fabrication and assembly drawings with proper fit and function
Lead design reviews with production leaders and collaborate with sales/vendors
Document BOM changes, engineering updates, and project change orders
Manage multiple custom trailer projects while ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness
Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering
1–3 years design experience with proven 3D modeling skills
