Job Description
As a Mechnical Design Engineer, you will assist in the planning, development, and coordination of engineering projects. You will function as a product line specialist and act as an engineering expert on assigned projects. Your role will include acting as a technical consultant, assisting with solution presentations, and ensuring site performance demonstrations.
Responsibilities
Serve as a staff advisor and consultant on technical specialties, equipment, or program functions.Achieve all assigned project tasks and objectives within the established strategy, ensuring functionality while meeting specifications.Ensure that project tasks assigned to others are completed within the established budget, schedule, and priority.Conduct engineering design reviews to ensure fit, function, and accuracy.Recommend changes in methods and procedures to improve project success or enhance engineering processes.Provide timely updates to leaders on the status of assigned projects and suggest alternative plans when outcomes cannot be achieved.Follow-up with other departments on assigned project tasks to ensure critical items are completed within needed timelines.Essential Skills
Proficiency in Solidworks.Experience in mechanical engineering and mechanical design.Expertise in sheet metal and machine design.Background in new product development and R&D engineering.Experience in a manufacturing environment.Tooling knowledge.Additional Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of machine design experience.1+ year of experience with Solidworks.Experience with sheet metal design.Background in manufacturing of parts.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Associates with relevant experience may be considered).Work Environment
These positions involve 100% desk work focused on design for new machines within an R&D setting. Work is 100% on-site at the Covington, KY location. Flexible work hours are available within standard business hours.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
