Job Description:
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with proven expertise in rotating equipment design and optimization. This role involves creating reliable, high-performance solutions for pumps, compressors, and other mission-critical machinery. The ideal candidate thrives in a shop and plant environment, understands the demands of heavy industrial applications, and can bridge the gap between engineering theory and hands-on execution.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop custom rotating equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with API specifications.
• Convert engineering concepts into detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Work closely with shop personnel to ensure designs can be manufactured efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Analyze performance issues in existing rotating equipment and implement engineering improvements.
• Partner with customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet operational needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in rotating equipment or machinery design, ideally in industrial or refinery environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work in both engineering offices and shop/plant settings.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of API specifications and experience redesigning key components for pumps or compressors.
