The client is looking for a Mechanical CAD Designer to support 3D modelling and technical drawings for floating offshore wind structures and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain 3D CAD models (structures, piping, equipment layouts). Produce accurate basic and detailed design drawings for fabrication and installation. Interpret specifications, calculations and standards to propose design solutions. Check designs for manufacturability, compliance and interface consistency. Coordinate with structural and mechanical engineers to meet quality, cost and schedule targets. Skills: 3+ years’ experience in mechanical, naval or structural design in a design office. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Solid Edge for 3D modelling and drafting. Strong knowledge of welded structures and mechanical assemblies. Proven ability to read and create technical drawings to fabrication level. Good communication skills and ability to manage several design packages in parallel. Written technical English. Experience in floating offshore wind, offshore structures or shipbuilding. Exposure to structural analysis workflows (FEA, sizing). Understanding of industrial fabrication and installation constraints. Experience in fast-paced, innovative SME environments.
