Mechanical Assembler Technician - 1st Shift - Poway
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assembler Technician with a minimum of one year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or assembly line environment. The ideal candidate must possess strong attention to detail, well-developed organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. This role requires the ability to measure in millimeters and have a basic understanding of hand tools and machine operations. Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitious duties while standing or walking for extended periods.
Responsibilities
Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, tools, and materials.Assemble component parts to meet company specifications and customer expectations, adhering to quality and productivity standards.Assemble shocks, sub-assemblies, or hose assemblies as per approved drawings or visual aids.Operate machinery and use hand/power tools such as pneumatic press, torque wrench, and drill.Cut hoses for assemblies using a circular saw according to blueprint specifications.Clean and prepare parts and sub-assemblies for assembly.Recommend changes for process or quality improvements.Maintain a safe working environment by complying with safety and environmental policies and reporting any hazards.Perform visual and mechanical inspection of parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for quality issues.Report quality issues to the lead or supervisor for direction.Maintain an orderly work area by completing housekeeping activities and returning tools/materials to storage areas.Exhibit integrity and accountability in all activities.Essential Skills
Minimum one year of hands-on experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly line.Attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written directions.Capability to lift 50 pounds and stand for the full shift.Basic knowledge of hand tools.Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and other written instructions.Basic computer skills for using company software programs such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.Certificate from a technical or vocational school is desired.Mechanical background with experience in hand tools, torque wrenches, bench grinders, drill press, and calipers.Previous experience in the automotive industry is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position operates in a mix of manufacturing and R&D environments, specializing in performance shocks. The work schedule follows a 4-10 format from Monday to Thursday, with standard hours from 6 am to 4:30 pm. There is potential for overtime on Fridays when workload demands. The role requires standing on feet all day during a 10-hour shift, with three breaks throughout the day.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
