**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** As a Mechanical Assembler, you will produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies. This role involves intermediate-level electrical wiring and integrating electrical wires into products. You will use hand tools to mount assembled components such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on chassis panels, and install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets. **Responsibilities** + Assemble parts using hand tools such as crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, and press fits. + Mount and align components and parts using hand tools or machines. + Connect component wires to circuits and connect wires between individual component leads. + Conduct quality control checks to ensure the integrity of the assembly. + Clean and maintain the work area and equipment, including tools. + Prepare work by studying parts lists and gathering necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency working with various types of hand and power tools, including torque drills, wrenches, and ratchets. + Ability to read a tape measure accurately. + Experience reading mechanical blueprints or mechanical assembly diagrams. + Mechanical aptitude and experience with torque tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to lift up to 50lbs. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a climate-controlled environment with opportunities for growth. The first shift runs from 6am to 4:30pm, and mandatory 12-hour shifts and weekend work are currently required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
