Mechanical Assembler
**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products. Assemblers will be responsible for interpreting blueprints or work orders, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions, and performing basic inspections to ensure the product is manufactured with quality. **Responsibilities** + Interpret assembly and elevation drawings. + Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies. + Read and use a tape measure accurately. + Utilize manual hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. + Operate power tools including drills, impact wrenches, and pneumatic torque wrenches. **Essential Skills** + At least 2 years’ experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder, or Automotive Mechanic in a job shop environment. + Knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics. + Proficiency in using shop equipment and hand tools. + Ability to perform basic math functions, including fractions and decimals. + Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in English. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy good benefits and long-term earning opportunities with group health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
