**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
We are seeking dedicated candidates to join a Forklift manufacturing company as mechanical assemblers. The role involves assembling, maintaining, and repairing forklift components and systems. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, assembling mechanical parts, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring all forklift units meet safety and performance standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents.
+ Assemble mechanical components of forklifts including hydraulic systems, frames, and attachments.
+ Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to build or modify parts.
+ Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet specifications.
**Essential Skills**
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.
+ Good communication and teamwork skills.
+ Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy components.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Technical training in mechanical assembly or forklift repair preferred.
+ 1–3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or forklift maintenance.
+ Certification such as ASE or Certified Forklift Technician (CFT) is a plus.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of southern Louisville, Kentucky.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.60/hr.
