**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** Job Description The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units, as well as testing and calibrating parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications. This role requires the use of hand tools and power tools, such as wrenches, pliers, drills, and impacts, to assemble parts based on drawings and blueprints. Additionally, the assembler will utilize a propane hand torch to apply shrink wrap material to products prior to shipping. Duties include performing workplace safety protocols, including proper tool usage, lifting techniques, and hazard identification. Responsibilities + Assemble fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units. + Test and calibrate parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications. + Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble parts according to drawings and blueprints. + Work both independently and collaboratively with a group of assemblers. + Utilize a propane hand torch to apply shrink wrap material to products prior to shipping. + Perform workplace safety protocols, including proper tool usage, lifting techniques, and hazard identification. Essential Skills + 3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics. + Experience operating measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools. + 3-5 years of experience operating a forklift or scissor lift. Work Environment The role operates in a production environment with exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, and other hazards. The position involves frequent lifting and moving of objects weighing between 10 - 50 pounds. Safety protocols must be adhered to at all times. The work hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM on the first shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
