Mechanical Assembler
**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** Job Description We are seeking a skilled mechanical assembler to join our team. You will be responsible for assembling frack trucks using hand and power tools, working with both standard and metric bolts and nuts. Your tasks will include running hydraulic and pneumatic hoses, installing drive pumps, hydraulic cylinders, motors, engines, compressors, turbines, sensors, pressure gauges, and piping units. You will operate overhead cranes to move heavy components and perform service work such as changing brake pads, tires, hoses, and gears. You will also test assembled units before final dispatch. Responsibilities + Assemble frack trucks using hand and power tools. + Work with standard and metric bolts and nuts. + Run hydraulic and pneumatic hoses from the front to the back of the unit. + Install drive pumps and hydraulic cylinders onto trucks. + Mount and install pumps, motors, engines, compressors, and turbines. + Install sensors, pressure gauges, and built piping units. + Work off blueprints to assemble custom order components. + Install components directly onto trucks ensuring they are securely bolted. + Operate overhead cranes to move motors and accessories. + Perform service work such as teardown and rebuilds. + Test units before dispatch. Essential Skills + 5+ years of heavy mechanical assembly experience in fabrication or industrial industries. + Experience in hydraulic assembly. + Proficiency in assembling pumps, motors, compressors, and turbines. + Ability to read blueprints and use hand, power, and air tools. + Must possess own tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with frack equipment or gas compression shops is a plus. + Experience assembling skidded units like pumps and compressors is beneficial. + Familiarity with brake systems, axles, and frame work assembly. + Experience with paneling or industrial enclosures. + Background in top drive industries is advantageous. + Experience working on hydrators, turbines, or blenders. Work Environment Work in a very large open shop with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 6am to 5pm, with plenty of overtime available. Saturdays may be required as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of HOUSTON, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
