**Mechanical Assembler $21-28/hr**
**Job Description**
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units. The role involves testing and calibrating parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications. Using hand and power tools such as wrenches, pliers, drills, and impacts, the assembler will work from drawings or blueprints. Tasks can be performed individually or in collaboration with other assemblers. Additionally, the role requires utilizing a propane hand torch to apply shrink wrap material to products prior to shipping and adhering to workplace safety protocols, including proper tool usage and hazard identification.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble fabricated parts into subassemblies and complete units.
+ Test and calibrate parts to meet product specifications.
+ Use hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
+ Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
+ Utilize a propane hand torch for product shrink wrapping.
+ Perform safety protocols, including proper tool usage and lifting techniques.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics.
+ Experience operating measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.
+ 3-5 years of experience operating a forklift or scissor lift.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with skid assembly.
+ Proficiency in using both hand and power tools.

**Work Environment**
Work in a production environment with exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, and other hazards. The role involves frequent lifting and moving of objects between 10 - 50 pounds. Adherence to safety protocols is mandatory. The position operates on the first shift from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $29.00/hr.
