**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with at least one year of experience in mechanical assembly within an electronic or mechanical manufacturing environment. This role is a 6-month contract-to-hire position, requiring full-time commitment on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Candidates must be able to pass a drug test.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read and understand assembly drawings.
+ Assemble and build mail automation equipment.
+ Use both hand and power tools to assemble equipment.
+ Work independently and collaboratively within a team, depending on the project.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to read assembly drawings.
+ Recognize mechanical parts such as pulleys, bearings, springs, and gears.
+ Identify hardware including screws, bolts, nuts, washers, and snap rings.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous experience using both hand and power tools is strongly preferred.
+ Dependability, organization, mechanical skills, and detail orientation are crucial.

**Work Environment**
The position is based in a manufacturing environment with air conditioning. Employees work within a collaborative and supportive team, and there is potential for overtime, including weekends, as required by production needs.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
