Mechanical Assembler
**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units. This role involves testing and calibrating parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications. The assembler will utilize hand tools and power tools, such as wrenches, pliers, drills, and impacts, to assemble parts according to drawings or blueprints. The position requires both independent work and collaboration with a group of other assemblers. Additionally, the assembler will use a propane hand torch to apply shrink wrap material to products before shipping and must adhere to workplace safety protocols, including proper tool usage, lifting techniques, and hazard identification. **Responsibilities** + Assemble fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units. + Test and calibrate parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications. + Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly based on blueprints. + Work independently and collaboratively with other assemblers. + Apply shrink wrap material to products using a propane hand torch before shipping. + Follow workplace safety protocols including proper tool usage and lifting techniques. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics. + Proficient in using hand tools and power tools. + 3-5 years of experience operating a forklift or scissor lift. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in skid assembly is advantageous. + Familiarity with production environments is beneficial. **Why Work Here?** Join a team committed to safety and high-quality standards in a dynamic production environment. Safety protocols must be followed at all times. The position involves frequent lifting and moving of objects weighing between 10 and 50 pounds. The schedule is for the first shift from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday to Friday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
