Join our dynamic team and contribute to the manufacturing and assembly of Industrial Power Systems in a heavy-industrial setting. You will be tasked with the mechanical assembly of systems, specifically working with sheet metal and assembling metal enclosures. Your role will require proficiency in using hand and power tools such as drills, tape measures, screwdrivers, wrenches, and impact tools. Team collaboration is essential as you will work with others to assemble units based on blueprints. Physical agility is necessary as the role involves standing, stooping, and bending throughout the day to access various assembly points, including inside units that are approximately 8 feet tall.

ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical assembly of industrial power systems using hand and power tools.Work with sheet metal to assemble metal enclosures for systems.Collaborate in teams to assemble units based on blueprints.Stand, stoop, and bend throughout the day to access various assembly points.Wear steel-toed boots on the first day of work.Essential SkillsExperience with manufacturing assembly.Proficiency in using hand and power tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Capability to read a tape measure accurately.Physical ability to stand for an entire shift and lift 50+ pounds.Additional Skills & QualificationsBlueprint reading experience is preferred.Why Work Here?

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity where you will receive a pay raise, profit sharing, benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, and 401k when converted to a permanent employee. Profit sharing bonuses are paid quarterly, adding about $1 extra per hour. Immediate benefits are provided upon permanent hire. The company's move to a new building in March 2022 offers exciting opportunities for advancement and cross-training in areas such as wiring, mechanical, welding, CNC machinery, electrical testing, and paint line.

Work Environment

You will work in a large, open bay production facility with multiple work stations. The production floor is not climate controlled, but industrial-sized ceiling fans maintain air circulation. Safety measures include wearing safety shoes, glasses, and earplugs as needed due to the presence of forklifts and CNC machinery in a louder area.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
