**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated Mechanical Assemblers for our 2nd shift, which runs from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. This is a contract-to-union position with opportunities for overtime on some Fridays in the spring and summer. Candidates will be assembling tables, desks, and chairs for schools, utilizing hand and power tools. The position offers a competitive hourly wage with scheduled increases. **Responsibilities** + Assemble tables, desks, and chairs for educational facilities. + Utilize power drills, tape measures, and screwdrivers to construct furniture. + Drill and attach hinges, legs, and arms for tables and desks. + Follow blueprints and assembly line instructions accurately. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical inclination. + Experience with hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, power drills, rivet guns, sockets, and wrenches. + Ability to read and interpret tape measurements. + Stable work history. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in mechanical assembly and general labor. + Ability to pass a tape measure and skills test. + Candidates should not have a background in medical device manufacturing. **Why Work Here?** Join a union company that values its employees and offers a supportive and well-lit work environment in the heart of Edina.
