Role: Mechanical and Piping Construction Superintendent
Work period: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day
Location: Dunkirk, France

Ensures the successful delivery and integrity of construction projects while meeting schedule requirements. Utilizes construction management expertise and established procedures to maintain consistency, ensure quality control, and deliver reliable project oversight. Leads all site construction activities for mechanical and piping scopes, including pre-fabrication, pipe installation, supports, mechanical equipment assembly, flange management, pressure testing, mechanical completion, and punch list resolution. Actively supervises contractors through the mechanical completion phase.

Main Responsibilities: Accountable for construction-related deliverables and contractor management Manages and executes a specific field discipline or portion of a project in accordance with contractual obligations and internal procedures Ensures work is performed to the required quality standards and project specifications Controls the project schedule and progress for the assigned discipline or project segment Oversees installation and completion activities Tracks work progress and reports deviations against the plan Ensures safety, quality, and environmental responsibilities are clearly defined and communicated to all contractor personnel under their supervision Verifies that all contractor staff receive appropriate training, including health, safety, and site-specific inductions Confirms implementation of safety, quality, and environmental procedures by contractor teams, including toolbox talks, site inspections, and issue tracking Coordinates the provision and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, materials, accommodations, and other project-specific needs, as per contract specifications and internal guidelines Monitors the industrial relations environment on-site and escalates concerns as necessary Collaborates with engineering teams during the design phase to enhance constructability and execution efficiency Qualifications: Technical diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience (ISCED Level 5) Certified in occupational safety, health, and environmental management (VCA VOL or equivalent) Experience and Skills: A minimum of 5 years of relevant field construction experience Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication Proven leadership and sound judgment Ability to work under deadlines and manage performance targets Confident in leading culture change when required Excellent communication, coordination, and team-building abilities Demonstrates a professional attitude aligned with high standards of behavior and performance Fluent in English About Airswift:
