Make It With Pride.** You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs. **How you will contribute** You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them. The Maintenance Mechanic will ensure the efficient and reliable operation of high-speed processing and packaging equipment. This includes troubleshooting, analyzing root causes, supporting improvements, testing, installing, and conducting all mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance. + Performs all duties in compliance with plant rules and practices safety, conduct, sanitation, and good housekeeping. + Ensures conformance with all Safety, GMPs, health code regulations, NEC, NFPA standards, and Food Safety Policies. + Utilize mechanical ability and knowledge to diagnose and repair and replace defective parts and equipment. + Maintain production equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment following the company guidelines and strategy. + Repair, maintain, and upgrade mechanical parts of the equipment. + Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, or sketches. + Must be qualified to operate forklifts, man lifts, ladders, and scaffolds. + Work effectively with electrical, boiler room, and/ or operations personnel when needed. + Participate in groups or teams to enhance the reliability and productivity of equipment and processes. + Report all work through a computerized maintenance system (SAP-PM). + Assist enhancements to the computerized maintenance system. + Work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment. + Knowledge and complete usage of LOTO, hot work permits, and confined space permits. + Protect the company's investment in machinery and equipment by exercising proper care, skill, and knowledge in the use of Company investments. + Support and participate in business initiatives ie. HACCP, QCMS, etc + Read and understand process schematics and drawings (P&IDs, Block Diagrams, Work and Principals, Blueprints, Drawings, etc.) + Must be able to demonstrate proper use and care of condition base equipment including but not limited to thermography cameras, ultrasound, etc. + Utilize mechanical ability and knowledge to repair and replace defective parts and equipment. + Know and understand the method and sequence of operations for troubleshooting and testing processing equipment. + Collaborate with engineers, subject matter experts, and others to identify, define, and solve problems. + Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, and peers on a shift-to-shift basis. + Ensure execution of preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS. + Support the development of others and yourself. **What you will bring** A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in: + Operating machines with coaching + Safety and quality standards for operating machines + Reading and writing, and fluently conversant in the language of communication as appropriate to the site + Collaborating well in a diverse work environment **Job Specific Requirements** + Working knowledge to include (but not restricted to) pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, machining of parts, some electrical knowledge, hand tool usage, and welding. + At least 2-4 years of manufacturing experience as a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic or successful completion of an approved Apprenticeship Program. + Ability to work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision + Ability to problem solve and help with practical solutions. + Ability to analyze scenarios and provide root cause analysis. **More about this role** **Physical Demands:** The following physical demands are examples of duties that may be performed: + Climb steps + Lift 50 pounds and maintain balance + Ability to perform duties in extreme varying temperatures + Crawl over, under, and into equipment as necessary to perform job duties + Work from ladders and lifts **Education / Certifications:** + High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). + Served and satisfactorily completed an approved Apprenticeship or Training. + At least 2 years of manufacturing experience in similar positions. + Ability to work any shift, weekends, and holidays as required. + Ability to work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision. + Able to learn and apply Continuous Improvement tools (IL6S, HPO, TPM) + Capable of working effectively as part of a High-Performance Team. + Ability to problem solve and help with a practical solution **Preferred Education / Certifications:** + 4 years of manufacturing experience + Able to learn and apply Continuous Improvement tools (TPM, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) + Strong soft skills regarding training and communication for knowledge transfer + Experience with high-speed packaging lines and production equipment in food processing, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries + Familiar with SAP – PM, work order, and asset creation/management + Familiar with AutoCAD and File Management **Schedule:** + Flexibility is required - 3rd shift **Salary and Benefits:** The hourly wage for this position is $38.39/hr with $0.65 hourly shift differential.
