Perform all preventative maintenance and repairs necessary for regulatory compliance, quality patient care, staff and safety in the assigned areas. **Job Requirements** In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: + High School Diploma/G.E.D. required + Quality Improvement Process + Demonstrate experience (1-2 yrs) and proficiency in the following areas: Maintenance plumbing; Maintenance Electrical; Carpentry; General equipment repair; Troubleshooting: fire alarm and safety stytems + Working knowledge of NFPA, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards for healthcare facilities (desirable) + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams (desirable) + Current of previous licensure (jurneyman, plumber, electrician), desirable Physical Requirements - Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally. **Where You'll Work** Mercy Hospital is an 82 bed, acute care hospital located in the scenic southwestern Colorado town of Durango.
