ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Maintenance C Mechanic (Maintenance Apprentice) will learn many facets of Maintenance as they shadow the more seasoned staff. They will also be responsible for upholding the standard policies and procedures within their assigned department.
Hourly Pay Range: $22 - $23 / hour
Work Schedules Available: Second or Third Shift / Weekends Included (Fill Time Hours)ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Basic knowledge of conveyorsExperience around DCMechanical aptitudeHas used shop/hand tools.Ability to learn ASRS Crane Handy Terminal to control crane and clear load protrusions, clear bin empties, pull out cartons requested.Ability to climb ASRS crane ladder to clear load protrusions, watch and listen for any malfunctions with the ASRS crane, and safety requirements to perform these tasksAbility to work beside any advanced tech and assist on repairs or breakdowns as required, retrieving parts, handing tools, helping lift parts, and safety requirements to perform these tasksAbility to learn conveyor functionality to be able to clear jams, reset the conveyor after jams, work beside any advanced tech when asked on repairs or breakdowns, and learn required safety to perform these tasks. Additional Skills:Must be CAL OSHA certified on a Turret, Reach, Order Picker, Walker Rider, Manual Pallet equipment, etc.Ability to keep the department OSHA CompliantAbility to comprehend company customized systems and programs, e.g., PkMS,Crisplant, etc.Extensive knowledge of all company policies and procedures with an emphasis on safetyCommunicate with upper management on a daily basisGood oral and written communication skillsPerform housekeeping duties when neededMust be able to take constructive criticismAbility to work in a professional and courteous manner at all timesMust be able to perform any other special projects and/or general requests made by direct supervisor as neededAbility to contribute hands on REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
