Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Job Description
As a mechanic, you will perform routine maintenance and scheduled service on heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, cranes, graders, forklifts, and trucks. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals and conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering components, fuel systems, and hydraulic systems. You will troubleshoot and repair electronic control systems and onboard computer diagnostics, inspect equipment for wear, damage, or safety concerns, and document your findings. Additionally, you will maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts usage logs.
Responsibilities

Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment troubleshooting and repair.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.Proficiency in using hand and power tools for assembly tasks.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
Work in a clean fabrication shop located in McHenry, IL. The hours are from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
