**Job Title: Motor Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team as a shop mechanic. The role involves mechanical assembly and disassembly of 3-phase and single-phase AC/DC motors, following shop SOPs to tear down and rebuild motors. The candidate will also perform specialized welding tasks, which training will be provided for. Additionally, the Motor Repair Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and test electromechanical equipment, ensuring safe and reliable service for our customers. **Responsibilities** + Interpret job documentation to diagnose issues with AC/DC methods. + Replace defective components and verify proper operation. + Operate shop and lifting equipment safely. + Complete required paperwork on time and maintain a clean work area. + Assist with other assigned duties to support operational success and customer satisfaction. + Read job cards to determine job status and work authorizations. + Test electromechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems. + Disassemble electromechanical equipment, noting parts identification and condition. + Clean equipment assemblies using various methods like parts washers and cleaning tanks. + Measure and requisition proper replacement parts from the sales office. + Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical and electrical parts. + Retest repaired equipment for proper output and operation. + Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear. + Lift, rig, and secure heavy objects with overhead cranes. + Assist other mechanics or shop personnel with skilled duties. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. + Experience with 3-phase and AC/DC motors. + Knowledge of power transmission and motor repair. + Ability to perform welding tasks. + Understanding of motor control and electrical wiring. **Why Work Here?** This is a direct hire opportunity with the ability to grow and transfer into different divisions of the company. Direct hire opportunity Ability to grow and transfer into different divisions of the company Benefits; Capital Blue: It’s a high deductible plan. Company pays the majority of the premium. Employee is responsible for $300 annual premium only. The deductible is $13,300 but the employee is only responsible for $3200 if married and $1500 if single. Company pays the rest. Position starts with 10 vacation days. 1 day per year is added up to a maximum of 20 days 5 Personal time off days per year. 7 paid holidays 401K and ESOP – guaranteed 2% of annual salary is contributed annually by the company but historically since the company has been profitable has been 25% .
