Job Title: Loader Operator
Job Description

As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for conducting pre and post inspections of equipment, addressing safety hazards, and ensuring the efficient loading of trucks. You will also perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting, and maintain clear communication with the Plant Tower Operator. Your role includes keeping the loading area free of debris and performing preventive maintenance on equipment.

ResponsibilitiesConduct pre and post inspections of equipment and report safety hazards promptly.Audit and mitigate safety hazards or concerns.Complete and submit all required documentation on time.Load trucks efficiently and maintain communication with Plant Tower Operator.Keep the pad level and loading area clear of debris.Maintain equipment cleanliness and safety.Perform utility tasks such as shoveling and water hosing when needed.Conduct preventive maintenance such as tightening valves and replacing bearings.Take samples from tanks as necessary.Detect and report faulty operations or defective materials.Adhere to all safety checks, rules, and regulations.Essential SkillsProficient in mechanical troubleshooting.Experience with hand and power tools.Knowledge in concrete and utilities maintenance.2+ years of mechanical industrial maintenance experience.2+ years of operational experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to perform minor mechanical repairs.Experience in a concrete yard setting is beneficial.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is based in a concrete yard located at the Port of Tampa. The environment requires adherence to safety regulations and offers the opportunity to work with various mechanical equipment and tools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
