We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at a leading oil and gas company in Jal, New Mexico. This is a full-time contract position with the potential for long-term employment.

Role Overview

Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment, including compressors and engines. Troubleshoot and repair air compressors and backup generators. Conduct belt changes, fan maintenance, and oil changes as needed. Utilize knowledge of engines to work on backup generators. Experience working on air compressors, gas compressors, and generators is required. Experience as a truck mechanic will also be considered. Must be able to pass an MVR, drug test, and background check to drive a fleet truck. Work onsite at various locations around the Jal, NM office.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of compressors and engines. Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with air compressors and backup generators is preferred.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certification or training in mechanical or automotive technology is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
