The Hardware Engineering organization drives business success by providing a variety of critical engineering services across all Raytheon product lines and functions.

Within the Texas Materials and Process Team, you will have one of three career paths within the Engineering organization to pursue: Developing test and assembly robotic solutions for the defense system products. We engage at the outset of the system development and follow our designs through deployment, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing. Our team helps develop the requirements and brings concepts to life. Designing and developing RF modules used in phased array radar systems. This team works with systems engineering, electrical engineers, thermal analyst, structural analyst and program management to design modules to meet various customer requirements. Mature program product sustaining. This team supports production programs, working on parts obsolescence, vendor management, product improvements and documentation updates.

Raytheon products are deployed all over the world. The verification team within the Texas Materials and Process Department is responsible for the architecture, design, and documentation of robotic solutions deployed within the three factories that we support.

Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:

The Mechanical Engineer will design and support from requirements definition through integration build and test. Design documentation and configuration management are required.

Requirements:

Ability to perform work without appreciable direction

Excellent written and verbal communications

Familiarity with PTC’s CREO,

Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Desired Requirements:

Hands on integration experience with robotics systems.

Experience with PLCs.

Experience or education in systems engineering and application to automation systems.

Experience in integrating multi-disciplined projects

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
