Main responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations and staffing for the Meat Department, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards. Deliver excellent customer service and handle special requests, including custom meat cuts. Supervise, train, schedule, and assign tasks to meat cutters and clerks. Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage inventory, including ordering, checking deliveries, conducting monthly counts, and maintaining accurate records. Execute merchandising plans, including case sets, signage, culling, and markdowns. Safely operate meat processing equipment such as grinders, saws, tenderizers, and knives. Identify department performance trends by reviewing reports and recommending improvements.We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Accountability for meeting operational, merchandising, and safety standards. Attention to detail, particularly in food safety, inventory management, and product quality. Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities related to staffing, product quality, and customer needs. Time‑management and multitasking abilities to support daily department operations.Knowledge:
Knowledge of meat products, cuts, preparation methods, and quality identification. Understanding of department operations including ordering, inventory control, merchandising, and pricing. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory requirements. Ability to safely operate meat processing machinery.Abilities:
Ability to lift, carry, stand, walk, and perform physical job duties safely (frequent lifting 1–35 lbs). Ability to understand and follow instructions, policies, and procedures. Ability to maintain predictable attendance, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to deliver excellent customer service and manage special orders.
