Measurement Process Technician
Job Description We are seeking a Measurement Process Technician to join our team in Maple Grove for a hands-on role supporting a high-priority development project focused on the WATCHMAN device. This position involves developing digital measurement programs, performing product characterization, and supporting tool qualifications and test validations in a dynamic medical device environment. The technician will assist engineers in creating dimensional measurement methods, interpreting technical prints, and conducting experiments to evaluate process inputs and outputs. Responsibilities also include determining pass/fail criteria, analyzing measurement data using Excel (including pivot tables and basic statistics), and programming digital systems such as Keyence, SmartScope, and Cognex. Familiarity with inspection software and recipe development best practices is a plus. The role requires strong collaboration across cross-functional teams, minimal oversight, and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success. Skills and Requirements · Associates Degree in engineering or relevant technical field · Experience in medical device · Excels in collaborative, cross-functional environment · Expertise with Microsoft suite · Experience in fully automated and operator assisted measurement programs (or understanding of vision systems, GD&T, and/or Minitab, Test Method Validation) · Experience working with and writing programs for digital measurement equipment (Keyence IM/LM/VHX, Cognex cameras and software, SmartScope, etc.) · Experience in Operations and/or New Product Development, especially within regulated industries · Background in Nitinol manufacturing or working with shape-memory alloys Familiarity with inspection recipe development, including datums, pattern matching, and logic-based inspection tools null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
