Summary: Assists in coordinating and monitoring activities of workers engaged in the production process.
Note: Meal Plant Lead III residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of fifteen dollars per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervises multiple production lines simultaneously, and oversees the training, quality, work quality, productivity, recovery, and sanitation.Supervises, evaluates, and directs Production Leads I and II of assigned area and provides feedback to supervisor.May lead production employee meetings as needed.Is proficient in two or more production areas or process types.Supervises and directs Production Leads I as assigned.Ensures proper use of protective gear, safe operation of machinery, and safe use of chemical cleaning agents.Reports continuing performance and attendance issues to supervisor.Receives and answers questions from workers pertaining to production processes or equipment operation.Monitors and expedites flow of materials within production area and makes adjustments when necessary.Notifies maintenance workers of equipment malfunctions.Tends or operates machines or equipment on production line to substitute for absentee workers.Maintains product workflow records.Assures compliance with all safety and production practices.Trains workers in equipment operation and in processing and safety procedures.Communicates with Supervisors, and other Lead personnel any problems or concerns.Performs activities of workers supervised.Additional Responsibilities:
Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.Employees working in Alaska are advised to have medical insurance coverage which is valid in the State of Alaska.
