Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented MCM Senior Project Manager to join our team at the Faro Mine Remediation Project!
The MCM Senior Project Manager provides direction, procurement support and general contract management for Major and Minor construction, service and site improvement projects completed as part of the Main Construction Manager (MCM) scope of work under the MCM contract. Ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. The Senior MCM Project Manager is responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Should be familiar with the integration of engineering/technical aspects, as well as procurement and construction activities. Provides direction, mentorship, and teaching to team members.
This role is a rotational position with approximately 1 week on site and 3 weeks working off site.
What You'll Be Doing:
Acts as the Company representative with the client and subcontractors during the program execution. Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors. Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.Develops scope in collaboration with site operation and end usersCoordinates scope development, planning and execution of the work with MCM Construction Director to make sure complete integration of the work with site remediation construction activities.Collaborate and coordinate with Care & Maintenance (C&M) Project Manager for integrated project delivery between C&M and MCM projects.Ensures the delivery team is complying with the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required. Supports the revision and development of these documents are needed. Ensures the submission of all project deliverables in compliance with the contractual Terms of Reference. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths.Participates and leads as required the pre-tendering activities including constructability review, operability reviews, risk assessments, cost estimating, quality planning and procurement strategies.Prepares Request for Proposal form and verifies accuracy and completeness of proposal packages. Interfaces with Owner, engineers, and designers to clarify and ensure that all necessary data has been included.Receives subcontractors' responses to requests for proposals, determines each subcontractor's ability to meet Company and project requirements, and negotiates the terms and conditions. Supports the preparation of contracts commensurate with delegated procurement authority.Prepares reports and contractual correspondence for project management and client. Maintains accurate tracking records tailored to the assigned subcontracts. Ensured the maintenance and updates subcontractors' files to include records of payment.Performs subcontract closeout actions and ensures complete file documentation. Completes commissioning and handover documents and supports the transition of completed project to the mine complex care and maintenance team.Serves as liaison between subcontractor and procurement personnel.Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the client and company management of any such changes. The Project Manager is specifically responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders.Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule. Establishes weekly meeting to review project status and formulate action items.Markets and secures additional work with client. Supports business development initiatives as requested.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Work constructively to ensure a collaborative and cooperative team approach with knowledgeable and timely input and contribution. Supports the objectives and responsibilities of all other management and leadership staff;Manages site staff to implement and carry out work that helps the project and organization achieve its desired outcomes by providing Basic supervision; Technical direction; Motivation; Career progression; Performance feedback.Determining, planning for and prioritizing the Work;Ensuring that the necessary resources are identified, made available and brought to bear in a timely manner;Managing the work within budget so as to ensure maximum value for expenditures;Monitoring team performance;This management position is expected to achieve Mine Rescue Certification, if physically able, and to maintain the certification.What Required Skills You'll Bring:
