MCC & Reporting Officer

ACS Sofala based in Dondo, Mozambique, is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer with the following responsibilities:

Responsibilites

Lead, coordinate and control all activities inside the MCC

Coordinate and support to implement and maintain a Reliability Centred Maintenance

Responsible for the analysis of daily EAM-PM Notifications (or Work Orders) and creating EAM work orders (daily scheduling) in cooperation with the Maintenance Managers and the Production Manager.

Support for elaboration and improvement of the preventive maintenance plan for spare parts from the Warehouse

Coordinate and support for the investment projects.

Responsible for controlling the correctness of all information recorded into EAM-PM by Maintenance Departments

Coordination and support for identification of the “bad actors” using the EAM-PM software and proposing improvements / investments to eliminate them

Responsible for searching the new maintenance technologies and methods in order to increase the reliability and reduce the maintenance costs for all pieces of equipment.

Coordinate and support for improving the predictive and preventive maintenance plan

Responsible for the correctness of all reports sent to the Maintenance Manager

Coordinate and support for the Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and decision

Improving packing plant performance and eliminate dust emission.

Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines.

Proactively ensure the application of the plant’s rules of conduct and health & safety protocols during production procedures to minimize injuries and lost time incidents.  Participate in weekly safety meetings and provide feedback on unsafe working conditions or signs of equipment breakdowns.

OSHA compliance with the company requirement

Perform any other related tasks and duties that may be assigned by his/her

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, Mechanical engineering discipline strongly preferred.

Minimum of 2 years experience working in a plant environment in a maintenance capacity

Experience working with large rotating heavy industry machinery and equipment

Knowledge of the principles of predictive, preventive, corrective maintenance and RCFA

Willingness to provide coverage during off-shift hour and weekends as required

Demonstrated ability to develop and manage projects

Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization to achieve plant goals

Must be able to supervise and troubleshoot all different kinds of technical, operational problems
