HOW A ABMS MBSE SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Responsible for the design, implementation, management and support of the organizations network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security and reliability of the network.Designs and implements scalable and robust network solutions to support organizational needs.Plans and executes network upgrades and expansion to ensure optimal performance and capacity.Monitors network performance and troubleshoots and resolves highly complex problems to maintain operating efficiency and ensure quality transmission service on the network.Uses subject matter expertise to diagnose and solve issues and has authority to deviate from standard operating procedures.Provides technical guidance to IT staff and end users regarding network related issues.Develops and implements network security policies and procedures to protect the organizations data and resources.Configures and maintains network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and wireless access points.Implements and manages security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems and VPNs.Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including data protection and privacy requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelors (IT/Computer Science)Required Experience: 8+ years of related experienceRequired Technical Skills: Included but not limited to, Cisco switches, IP Address Management, network security, patch management, STIGs, IAVM, ACLs, IPSec, NIST publications, etc.Security Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI eligibilityRequired Skills and Abilities: IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8140.01M Cyberspace Workforce (i.e., Security +)Location: Hampton, VirginiaTravel 25%
