The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inquisitive detail-oriented engineer with experience in the design and development process of MATLAB applications in an Agile environment. In this position, you will use your skills to develop workflow improvements to develop products that accelerate the reporting deliverable process in the Performance Assessment Department at NSWC Corona.
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with government personnel to troubleshoot, develop and maintain applications across multiple platforms in support of the US NavyEngage with analysts in their projects and workflows to accelerate the pace of their development and innovationCreate and deliver presentations and demonstrate tools developedScope technical projects and coordinate with other analysts and software developers to address customer needs in specialized areasQualifications:
Required:
Must be a U.S. CitizenActive secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards, and Naval installationsMust have a BS degree in engineering, scientific, or technical disciplineAt least 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 1 year of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience)Must be able to perform occasional travel, less than 10%Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periodsMust be willing to work on site in Norco, CaliforniaExperience programming in MATLAB or PythonExperience using MATLAB Live Editor and MATLAB AppsKnowledge and implementation of the software development lifecycleKnowledge and implementation of Agile and engineering development processesExperience in product developmentExperience in tool verification and validationExperience with the Git version control systemExperience in memory management techniquesDesired:

The proposed salary range for this position is:
