Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Developing and maintaining best in class processes that effectively and efficiently evaluate new materials as well as support the continuous improvement and maintenance of existing materials in alignment with established standards.
• Oversees the operation of the Material Test Laboratory to ensure the efficient completion of production batch approval in compliance with lead time targets.
• Provides leadership to material testing activity necessary to support customer requests, new material development, and production support via the Central Engineering Request Management System (CERMs). Ensures material testing is completed in alignment with service level requests with technical data that satisfies the request requirements.
• Responsible for the configuration control of Greene Tweed’s material portfolio, ensuring documentation and revision management is completed so that materials are consistently produced to the required technical and quality standards.
• Establishes functional objectives in alignment of corporate and business unit objectives and drives execution of processes to achieve functional objectives.
• Works cross functionally to ensure the teams processes and activities are in alignment and support other functional departments and the Company’s Quality Management System.
• Establishes and manages a staff giving guidance and direction to ensure alignment with functional objectives and strategic plans. Leads activity to continuously develop the capacity and capabilities of the Central Engineering Staff in alignment with Greene Tweed’s growth strategy.
• Works cross functionally to ensure the teams processes and activities are in alignment and support other functional departments and the Company’s Quality Management System.
• Ensure Laboratory’s compliance to ISO/IEC Guide 17025, NADCAP, AS 9100, ISO 9001, and customer requirements.
• Develops and maintains a global standard for the development, archival, revision control, and retrieval of important business documents.
• Adheres to Corporate IP policies regarding products, materials patent applications and maintenance, protection of proprietary processes and trade secrets. Makes team members aware and capable of adhering to same policies.
• Supports the growth of new infrastructure and capabilities by working closely with cross functional partners to identify areas that can improve service offerings, efficiency and data accuracy and supports implementation of those that are found to provide benefit.
• Performs internal audits against established Engineering Procedures at regular intervals and recommends actions to address any compliance issues that are discovered. Supports audits performed by other GT departments in support of GT Global Standards that are supported.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications: B.S. in Engineering, Chemistry, or suitable technical discipline required.
Skills and Experience:
• 5-10 years of experience in a technical role required. Customer-facing experience preferred.
• Experience with material testing and material data analysis preferred.
• Ability to work in cross-functional team environment.
• Effective technical communication / presentation skills with internal and external customer
