**Title:** Materials Supervisor

**Reports** **to** : Materials Manager
**Job Description**
Supervise the materials buyers team on the purchase of components and raw materials used on the manufacturing of Finished Goods.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Supervision of buyers on components purchasing and planning activities execution.
+ Ensure that the delivery of materials meets Production Schedule requirements.
+ Sets monthly inventory and Days On Hand (DOH) goals for each buyer planner or supplier to guarantee supply but avoid excess.
+ First point of escalation for any supplier delivery issues.
+ Analyze component requirements through JDE, ComponentMatrix and other reports as needed.
+ Works with Supplier Quality Engineering for management, sorting, reworking and replacement of materials for quality rejections.
+ Supervises Engineering Changes implementation.
+ Supervises supplier changes when components are resourced by commodity management.
+ Perform analysis of materials as required (excess, obsolescence, etc.)
+ Ensures supplier delivery performance meets WR goals, works with buyers and suppliers to improve this metric.
+ Management and improvement of suppliers delivery frequency to ensure its meets WR goals, works with buyers, Commodity Managersand suppliers to improve this metric.
+ Supervision and implementation of pull systems with suppliers by the buyers.
+ Place and management of purchase orders with suppliers assigned as needed.
+ Any other tasks assigned by Materials Director.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Bachelor Degree Preferred.
+ English, Spanish fluency 95%.
+ MS Office extended knowledge.
+ 4 years’ minimum purchasing and expediting experience with ERP
+ Extended Knowledge of JIT, KANBAN and other pull systems.
+ 5 S’s
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master’s Degree
+ APICS Certification
+ English, Spanish fluency 100%.
**Onsite Work Arrangement:**
This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
