Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Materials Process Engineer to lead development, evaluation, and implementation of advanced materials and manufacturing processes for aerospace systems. This engineer will serve as a subject-matter expert in non‑metallic materials—particularly polymer matrix composites and structural adhesives—supporting programs from early development through production transition and continuous improvement.
Develop and evaluate non‑metallic materials and associated processes for aerospace applications.
Create and validate process control plans and ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., MIL‑STD‑11991).
Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure materials and processes meet program requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve material‑ and process‑related production issues.
Support transition of new materials and processes into production environments.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality engineering to address material challenges and improve manufacturability.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field; advanced degrees preferred.
10+ years of experience in materials or materials process engineering within aerospace.
Strong background in composites, adhesives, and non‑metallic materials.
Experience creating process control plans and reviewing specs/drawings.
Knowledge of MIL‑STD requirements, including MIL‑STD‑11991
