How will you make an impact?

The Materials Planning Supervisor plays a key role in the success of the Single-Use Technology Division (SUD) by using the ERP system to plan and order raw materials for manufacturing. You will ensure that master data is maintained appropriately to enable an accurate systemic signal to be generated and can be used as a baseline in our ordering process.

What will you do?

Manage, coach and mentor a team of Materials Planners to enable continuous growth and development of each team memberShare standard methodologies with other sites within the business unit and be recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of Materials PlanningUse MPS/MRP in ERP System to drive materials planning and ordering of raw materialsManage key item settings in ERP System to ensure accurate system functionalityPlan and schedule MTS products and monitor excess inventoryMonitor and reconcile exception messagesManage push-in / push-out of material delivery dates directly with suppliers to allow for the right balance of production plan stability and inventory investmentBring up backorders or supplier performance issues to Procurement TeamEnsure accurate rolling component forecasts are available to support strategic sourcing process and ongoing communication on future needs with our suppliersBuild inventory projections and reporting across Raw Materials, WIP and Finished GoodsProvide inputs for Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales, Inventory & Operations (SIOP) Meetings about Excess & Obsolete inventory and key shortages/excess.Coordinate closely with Operations and Manufacturing Planning to optimize schedule adherenceCollaborate with various departments to minimize schedule changes within the frozen windowTrain as a backup for other members of the teamEngage in continuous improvement activitiesSupport expansion and harmonization projectsMay be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned

How will you get here?

Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field6+ years of experience in Procurement, Materials Planning or Supply ChainProficient in managing and analyzing data in ExcelDemonstrated understanding of manufacturing concepts and principles, finite scheduling, product flow, data management, and supply chain planningPlanning and procurement experience in a manufacturing environment applying MRP/ERP and APS (Oracle, ASCP, SAP, JDE, M2M, server-based systems)Preference for Certification in APICS CPIM, CSCP, ISM CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)
